Yoga in Schools

Our yoga in schools program introduces students to the benefits of yoga, fostering physical fitness and mental well-being in the school environment. Through age-appropriate practices and mindfulness exercises, students develop resilience, focus, and a deeper connection to themselves and their peers.

What do we offer in schools?

Before school yoga is a great way to get students physically, mentally, and emotionally ready for the day. After school yoga is similar with benefits but assists more in decompression after a long day.

We pay a visit to each classroom for 10-20 minutes depending on which offering administration selects. These visits may last for several days depending on school size.

If you are just looking to introduce the idea of yoga and mindfulness to your faculty and students, this is a great option. Assemblies last from 45-90 minutes and can be informative or interactive.

Before/After School

Before school yoga provides students with an invigorating start to their day, preparing them physically, mentally, and emotionally for the challenges ahead. Engaging in yoga practice before classes commence helps students cultivate focus, resilience, and a sense of calm amidst the demands of academia. 

On the other hand, after-school yoga serves as a valuable tool for decompression, allowing students to release tension accumulated throughout the day while fostering relaxation and rejuvenation. Both offerings contribute to holistic well-being, nurturing healthy habits that support students in their academic and personal journeys.

We typically offer these programs alongside an already-in-place program offered by the school.

During School

Our in-school yoga program brings the benefits of yoga directly to the classroom, offering brief but impactful sessions lasting 10-20 minutes for each class, tailored to the preferences of the school administration. These targeted visits, spanning several days to accommodate the size of the school, aim to seamlessly integrate the principles of yoga into the students' daily routines. These sessions serve as rejuvenating breaks, promoting relaxation, focus, and mindfulness among students and teachers alike. By incorporating these sessions into the school day, we strive to enhance students' focus, concentration, and overall well-being, promoting a positive and mindful learning environment.

We aim to educate teachers during these sessions with the tools and resources needed to provide these mindful breaks. Whether they choose to do it every day before getting class work started or offer it several times throughout the day if students are struggling to focus on a certain day.

Assemblies/Events

These dynamic sessions are designed to engage and inspire students, promoting physical activity, mental well-being, and emotional resilience in a fun and interactive way. Tailored to the age group, our assemblies create a positive impact on the entire school community, fostering a culture of mindfulness and equipping students with valuable tools for self-awareness and stress management.

Following the assembly or event, we will provide students and faculty with accessible resources to continue their practice at home. These resources may include printable yoga pose guides, audio recordings of guided meditations, and mindfulness exercises that can be easily incorporated into daily routines. Additionally, we will offer recommendations for online platforms, apps, and books to further support personal exploration and growth in yoga and mindfulness. By empowering individuals with these tools, we aim to extend the benefits of the assembly beyond the school environment, promoting ongoing well-being and self-care practices for all.
